Review | Cocoa Brown 1 Hour Tan

I have heard a lot about the Cocoa Brown tan and after seeing it all over Instagram, I finally decided to pick it up when I saw it in Primark for £6.99! For years I have used the St Moriz instant tan which retails for around £3.00 and is amazing! But like everyone, I like to try out new products and to be honest I think Cocoa Brown has taken it's place.

I have been using this now for a few week and absolutely love it. Cocoa Brown is a light tinted mousse which applies like a dream. It applied onto my skin smoothly and spread evenly on my skin leaving me with no patches. I really like how this mousse is tinted so it allows you to see clearly where you have applied to ensure you have an even tan! Unlike other self tanners, this leaves a floral scent on my skin which is so much better than that typical fake tan smell, it does tend to ware off after a while and once washed off the smell is completely gone. Also, I have very sensitive skin and can sometimes find that self tanners make me break out around my shoulder and chest area, this one hasn't luckily!

Eventhough this develops in 1 hour, I personally like leaving this tan on over night for a more darker bronzed look, but depending on how tanned you want to be you can leave it on as long as you prefer. This left me with a natural and subtle looking tan instead of looking orange, which I really liked and it lasted around 6 days before starting to fade. Now lets speak about the packaging, gorgeous right? Bright pink and super girly! I love it and lets be honest which girl wouldn't like this sat on there dressing table?! As you know, I am a sucker for cute packaging so when I saw this pretty little bottle for the first time, I just had to have it!
Overall, this is a gorgeous tan, super affordable and leaves me with a stunning healthy looking glow.

TIP: When tanning always remember to exfoliate and moisturise before applying fake tan!!
Have you tried the Cocoa Brown Tan? What's your favourite self tanner to use?

  1. I'm so scared when it comes to fake tanning but I might give this one a go. I have a couple of special events next month so may have to invest in this. Great review.

  2. This is a gorgeous packaging! Love it. I really like mouse based tan products, I feel like it's easier to apply. I'll definitely give this one a try. I currently use L'Oreal Sublime Bronze Self-Tanning Serum and I love it. Even though I prefer mouse, I decided to give serum a try. It was easy to apply, NOT sticky, it dried fast and color started to show up decently fast and has lasted for 2 weeks. If you haven't tried this product, I highly recommend it!
