My current beauty favourites

No 7 Beautiful Skin Day Cream - My skin has been awful recently. I have very oily skin and suffer a lot with blackheads around my t-zone area. I get so self conscious sometimes about the way my skin looks and feels. I have been wanting to try some different moisturisers and recently discovered this one from No7. The thing that drew me into buying this one rather than any others out on the market is because this day cream claims it makes oily skin perform like normal skin, which is what I really want! I have been using this a few weeks now and my skin feels great. Yes, its still oily but I do feel like its controlled. My skin feels silky smooth and it hasn't broke me out. I also love the clean and fresh smell it has!

Laura Mercier Translucent Setting Powder - This product is one I have been wanting to try for a while as everyone seems to absolutely love it and I can totally see why. I have been using this setting powder every day since I bought it to set my foundation. I can tell my makeup is staying put a lot longer and my oily skin is tamed and keeps my skin looking matte for a lot longer than usual. I honestly can say this is the best setting powder I have used so far and I will definitely be repurchasing once this ones finished!

Charlotte Tilbury Filmstar Bronze and Glow - I have wanted a sculpting palette for a while now and recently decided to splurge out on this beauty from Charlotte Tilbury! It is seriously worth every penny, from the packaging to the actual product this is amazing. I love applying the sculpting shade in the hollows of my cheeks, top of my forehead, temples, under my chin and down the sides of my nose. Then the highlight shade on the tops of my cheeks, down the centre of my nose, brow bone and my cupids bow. I love the way these shades both glide onto my skin and blend out flawlessly giving me a natural but sculpted face!

Anastasia Beverly Hills Modern Renaissance Palette - My HOLY GRAIL palette! I have only had this about a week but I just had to feature it in my favourites as I have been using it non stop and honestly fall in love with it each time I use it. I have never used ABH eyeshadows before so I wasn't sure what to expect when the palette arrived. I think these are the best eyeshadows, they are SUPER pigmented and blend out amazingly. Also, the colours are incredible with lots of different shades you will never run out of looks.

NARS Creamy Concealer - Concealers are one of my favourite products at the moment. I can't ever do my face and not use concealer as I think it makes such a huge difference when I apply it. This creamy concealer from Nars really is creamy and blends out well and gives a lovely finish. I haven't noticed it creasing throughout the day or setting into fine lines which is always good!

That's everything for my favourites at the moment. What have you been loving?

Haul | Recent Beauty Buys

Hello everyone, I hope you're all well. Today's post is one I love doing, it's a haul of all the beauty items I have purchased recently. Being the beauty junkie that I am and also working on the beauty floor of a department store, I am constantly spending my money on makeup (which my bank balance absolutely hates me for!).

At the weekend I dragged my boyfriend along to Meadowhall shopping centre as I found out that the Boots store in there had just opened a NYX counter. So of course, I had to go! I swear I must of been stood at the counter for a good 45 minutes taking in all the amazing products and choosing wisely what I wanted to take with me. My poor boyfriend was so bored and getting pretty mad with me haha.

In the end, I didn't end up getting too much. I kinda regret not getting more now, but I am sure I will be there again very soon.

- NYX HD Concealer (Fair) - I've heard quite a bit about this so I wanted to give it a go. I didn't purchase it really for coverage but as more of a highlighting product. I have used this since getting it and I am really pleased so far, the colour is lovely and it blends out really easily!

- NYX Retractable Lip Liner (Soft Pink) & Soft Matte Lip Cream (Milan) - I bought these two as a combo to wear together. I own a couple of the soft matte lip creams already so I know how much I love them! I loved this colour for summer so I had to get it.

- NYX Micro Brow Pencil (Taupe) - I got this as I have wanted the Anastasia Beverly Hills Brow Wiz for a while, but when I saw this one for less money I decided to give it a go. So far, I can't say I am a fan of this. I don't find it gives much pay off for some reason but maybe I just need to try it a few more times. I'll keep you updated on what I think.

- Laura Mercier Translucent Loose Setting Powder - This is a product I have wanted to try for absolutely ages and I finally purchased it for myself! I have never tried anything from Laura Mercier before so this was an exciting buy for me! So far I am in love with it, it sets my foundation and leaves my makeup looking flawless all day!

- Too Faced Chocolate Bon Bon Palette -  This is another product I have been eyeing up for a while! The colours in this palette are absolutely beautiful. The packaging is the cutest ever and it actually smells of chocolate which is amazing. I haven't tried this palette yet as I literally just got it today but I am so excited to create some looks with this!

- Liz Earle Cleanse & Polish - Lastly. this is a product I have used already and absolutely love. I have repurchased this cleanser so many times now as I love it. It's the best one I have used for my skin type and it leaves my skin feeling clean and refreshed. This is such an affordable cleanser and I would reccomend anyone to try it.

Have you tired any of these products? What products should I try next?

Review | Tangle Angel Brushes

Hi everyone! Apologies for the lack of posts recently, I have just started a new full time job at Nails Inc and have been super busy settling in and had no time to sit down and blog. :( From now on, I am going to try post at least one day a week, so I'll be dedicating my day off to my blog!

Today's post is a review on some brushes I have been absolutely loving recently. I first saw these Tangle Angels on Instagram, and fell in love with the way they looked. These brushes were created by celebrity hair stylist Richard Ward and they are literally the cutest things ever. I absolutely love the look of them on my dressing table. Not only do they look beautiful but they also do a fabulous job at detangling hair in a gentle, easy and pain free way due to it's ergonomic shape and scientifically developed bristles.

I tend to get very tangled hair and these brushes have worked absolute wonders for me, they gently comb through my hair with no pain and don't pull on my hair what so ever! These practical brushes also have a handle which I think is great but they also give you the ability to hold the brush around the angel wings to give you more control if you need some serious de-tangling!

They have a variety of different brushes to choose from so you can choose the best Tangle angel which you think would suit you best. For example, they have the Tangle Angel Xtreme which is made specially for mega tangles and people with hair extensions!

ANTIBACTERIAL - The tangle angel is ultra hygienic and safe to use.
HEAT RESISTANT - Can be used for blow-drying due to the bristles retaining their shape even when used with high temperatures generated by hair-dryers.
ANTI STATIC - Prevents the dreaded fly away hair leaving it looking smooth and silky.
INNOVATIVE DESIGN - Stunning to look at also highly functional.

All tangle angel brushes are available at www.tangleangel.com
Have you tried these brushes? Would you like to? Let me know!
